Let me start off by saying I love MODOK! He's one of the more ridiculous villains from "back in the day" that's managed to avoid being phased out. The evolution of his character through the years has been towards the more humorous side, deftly skirting the line between vicious killer and punching bag/joke. The writers here have truly nailed the sweet spot in this book, giving us by far the best MODOK story to date. Without giving anything away, Assassin tells the tried and true tale of a man/monster realizing his life is missing something, that something of course being the one thing that EVERYBODY really needs: love.

I've found many of the books in the Secret Wars event to be somewhat lacking (including the main series itself). Not so, here. Pick this up, you won't be disappointed!

Good read, very enjoyable, great story.
A fluff book about the GIANT heart of M.O.D.O.K. Just ok.
So in this Warzone comic we visit Killville, where everyone is always killing each other. M.O.D.O.K. is there with a female Thor that he is in love with and they are in the middle of some political intrigue that involves isolating this Thor from everyone else. We get to see a lot of great fights, a few good jokes, and some great artwork.

It's not a comic that's meant to be taken super seriously. It's mindless fun with a goofy protagonist that is pretty much a walking punch line. Fans of Marvel will enjoy this, it's got just enough action and silliness in it to make it enjoyable.
